 Supervise six (6) Police Officer and two support staff.
 Manage the 638 Grant for our department
 Manage two current C.O.P.S grants, one Hire grant and one
Equipment Grant. Complete necessary monthly reporting on the
grants as required by the program.
 Manage the Indian Highway Safety Grant, which is an overtime
grant. Complete necessary monthly reports as required by B.I.A.
 Currently re-applied from the B.I.A Highway Safety overtime grant
for 20016.
 Manage the department’s daily operations while creating
partnerships throughout the Pueblo.
 Attend quarterly Chiefs of police meeting and report on current crime
trends in our jurisdiction.
 Manage the department’s payroll and scheduling.

Police Officer (Uniform Patrol)

 Firearms instructor for the department
 Report to briefing on time to receive your assignment, and then
patrol your assigned beats.
 Respond to calls received on assigned mobile data terminal (MDT)
and provide assistance to citizens in need of help or have complaints.
 Articulate the facts of the incident or incidents on Offence Incidents
reports, Accident reports, Investigative reports and or traffic citations.
 Arrest persons for violations of criminal law, both misdemeanor and
Felony. Then file the necessary criminal complaints and probable
cause statements in the correct court jurisdiction.
 Attend monthly training provided by my current department and
advanced training provided by the New Mexico State Academy or
other agencies. Manage my training hours, so as to keep up with the
necessary training hour needed to maintain my New Mexico Law
Enforcement Certification.
 Investigate and testify in Tribal, State, Federal Courts regarding both
Felony and misdemeanor criminal trials as well as traffic court.

 Attend and pass reconstruction school and Motor School.
 Decrease crashes by education and enforcement.
 Investigate all crashes and reconstruct crashes which report serious
 Injury or death.
 Prepare uniform traffic reports and diagrams pertaining to crashes

Gang Enforcement Officer/Uniformed Patrol
 Assume normal patrol assignments.
 Identify and document Gangs and gang members in the City of Rio
Rancho.
 Conduct interviews with known gang members in order to gain
intelligence on gang movement and criminal activities.
 Access Gang Net for intelligence when conducting investigations on
gang related crimes.
 Through interview or interrogations, find and maintain confidential
sources related to gang investigations.
 Interact with other agencies who have gang officers and share
information/intelligence on gang related activities or trends within
each others communities.
 Attend gang related training and meetings to keep current on gang
movements and new gang trends.

Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT)
 Assume normal patrol / Gang Enforcement assignments.
 Assignment; Entry Team Member.
 Respond to critical call outs, i.e.; hostage incidents, barricaded
subjects, officer down incidents and stealth entry / searches for armed

 Attend S.W.A.T training twice a month.
 Conducted block training on S.W.A.T related topics.

 Locate and collect any evidence that would lead the investigating
officer to a suspect or new lead. Maintain an evidence log.
 Photograph the crime scene and maintain photo logs showing what
pictures were taken.
 Mark and tag evidence in to the evidence room/locker.
 Testify in court regarding the custody of evidence.

 Assume normal patrol assignments as well as any specialty
assignments.
 Supervising new officer assigned to the FTO program.
 Supervise new officer in different stages of the FTO program.
 Complete a daily observation report on the trainee.
 Report any positive or negative observations to my supervisor and
document the problems on the observation report.
 Brief the next field training officer of the trainee accomplishments
and in areas that need improvement.

 Completed the DEA Clandestine Laboratory Certification Program,

 Follow-up on Narcotic tips provided by my parent agency as well as

 Make Federal level narcotic cases and prosecute the cases in
Federal Court.

 File cases in District Court if cases were not accepted by the US
