What does "home" mean to you? How does the concept of home change during the course of our lives? What can we do to make ourselves feel more at home in the world?

A group of 25 people from 10 different cultures gathered at Life in Africa (Kampala) to explore these questions. Here's what they said.

Some closing thoughts ● “As we talked, people I didn’t previously know felt more like family.” ● “The conversation was much broader than I originally thought it would be.” ● “I could see the value in multigenerational communication.” ● “I considered things I had not previously thought about.” ● “It reinforced to me how we need to be open and flexible.” ● “It helped me see what we might be able to change in our own lives.” ● “Home is such a basic concept I didn’t originally see the value discussing this, but it ended up being a good conversation.” ● “I learned that I can be at home anywhere, and I can foster this comfort through good communication.”
