  2. 2. Introduction What will technology be like in the future? There is no definite answer. Technology has always constantly evolved since the beginning of mankind. New ideas are being generated everyday. There’s no limit to how far technology can go. People always crave the latest technology. Whether this is cars, cell phones, or computers, society wants the latest.

Uses and Gratification Theory Created by Katz, Blumler, and Gurevitch in the 1970’s People use this theory to satisfy their needs in knowing the latest when it comes to a certain websites Most ESPN.com readers seek gratification because they enjoy all news related to sports within their favorite teams and players
  4. 4. Wi-Fi In most places, Wi-Fi is already available to the public, including schools, libraries, and coffee shops However, there are places that don’t have Wi- Fi available. In the future, ALL places will have Wi-Fi available, making it free for everyone no matter where youre located
  5. 5. Wi-Fi  Having free Wi-Fi will make citizens feel at ease, knowing they can connect to it anywhere.  Makes communication easier and more dependable  Technology is already moving into this phase of the future
  6. 6. Media System DependencyTheory Technology has grown to be apart of us, we have a bond with technology Can’t function in everyday life without it; imagine no cell phones, or computers. Society nowadays has grown up depending on certain devices

Home Phones Even though home phones have become virtually instinct, they are going to make a huge comeback Hologram technology is about to become immensely popular around the world A home phone will have the ability to show the person you are talking to in hologram form – as the person is really present

Home Phones The hologram home phone will give the person a sense of comfort, the closest thing to having someone physically there even thought they’re miles a There’s already proof of this technology, as seen with the Tupac concert, where they had a hologram version even though he is not alive. Be able to connect with anyone from your home

  11. 11. Cars In the future, all cars will have the ability to drive and park themselves Owners will access their cars simply by using hand censors instead of keys Will recognize owner’s hands and also voice Voice activated for self driving.
  12. 12. Education iPads are slowly becoming part of our lives Schools are seeking new technologies to improve learning Grabbing the students attention is key, especially with all the distracting devices available Combining devices with schools can vastly improve education

Education Each student will have their own tablet (iPad) From the beginning of Kindergarten, each student will have their own tablet, with a personal username and password Books, lecture notes, calendars, voice recorders, email, ability to turn in assignments and homework will all be available inside the tablet Tablets are for each student to keep and take home
  14. 14. Conclusion In the future, technology will become more advanced Wi-Fi, home phones, cars, and the education system will all benefit in the near future We have grown to need trendy technology in our lives, we use it to improve everyday activities THERE IS NO LIMIT!
