South Carolina Safe Routes to School Resource Center Why Pedestrian Safety Education is Important • Pedestrian safety lessons teach important life-long skills • When encouraging students to participate in Walk to School Day events it is important to teach them safe behaviors • Curriculum includes Parking Lot and Bus Safety Lessons
