T his is your year to celebrate the start
of a healthier, more connected life. And
there is no better place to jump start
your new lifestyle than the Y. ..
2012 will be a year we celebrate
you, our members and community,
with a number of new initiatives, new
programs and a brand new home,
where seniors take part in structured activities
specifically designed to improve flexibility and
strength. These new programs are all part of the
Y's goal of improving the health of everyone in
our community and keeping our older
population involved and engaged.

January is a great time to start and stick to a
healthy New Year's resolution. There's no better
place than the Y; let us help you reach your
wellness goals. New members can join us in
January when our joining fee is the same as
the date you join. As an example, if you join on
January 12, your joining fee is just $12; if you
join on January 23, your joining fee is just $23.
There is never a contract at the Y.
We have a fabulous new member orientation
program, and over 50 fitness classes available
to you. You can take advantage of cardio and
weight equipment and Center Member rates on
specialty classes, youth programs and more,
Best of all, as a benefit to our family members
you have access to our Kids' Zone, where fun
activities are available for your children while you
attend classes or workout on our wellness floor,
We are excited to announce the launch of
two new programs for older adults seeking a
place for both social activities and specialized
wellness classes-Silver and Fit0l, an insurance-
sponsored program, and Enhance Fitness, a
12-week program that kicks off in February,
We also welcome
Uraeme Griffith as the
new Program Director for
our Y. Graeme will lead our popular
youth sports program with
a goal to fmpact more
children through the
health and social
benefits of youth
sports. Our winter
sports schedule includes
Youth Basketball, Youth
Soccer, Youth Flag Football and
Pee-Wee Little World Cup.
This year we are also excited
for the opening of our new
Family Center. In 2011 we broke
ground, installed the privacy wall along
the back of our Y, tore down trailers
and other temporary structures,
selected all finishes, window and
wall treatments
and flooring,
and closed out
the year with

securing the final permits to begin actual
construction. Our plan is to open our new Family
Center before the end of the year.
