3. If you are currently employed, this is a must. Hiding your
resume puts the control of the job search in your hands.
While Indeed won't give your contact information to an
employer without you applying to it, your name and location
are front and center.
While you may have a common name, (I'm sure there are
many John Smith's in Atlanta, GA) company names, locations
and other identifying information are sure to give you away.
You'll probably be better off setting your visibility to private
and being the hunter, not the hunted.

4. Going to job boards daily can take a lot of time. So
after entering your search parameters, Indeed allows
you the option to get job alerts in your email inbox
instead.
That way you'll be alerted to all the jobs being posted
that fit that criteria.

5. The best athletes in the world study their
competition. Did you know you can do the same on
Indeed? At the top of the home page, you'll see the
option to find resumes.
Enter the job title you're applying to and check out
what other people in your field are doing. Use this
insider knowledge to set yourself ahead of the
pack.

6. There are millions of resumes on Indeed, and if you
post your resume on Monday, by Friday it'll
probably be on page 2, or worse, page 22.
If you want to get seen and noticed, perform a
resume search on yourself and see where you land
in the pile. If it's past page 1, you may want to do
an update to push it back to the top.

7. When you get to Indeed you’ll see a few links down
below (yep, way below in the lower left corner).
There is a pretty nifty link for information regarding
job trends. Why is this helpful? you ask.
Knowing if your industry is growing or shrinking will
allow you to gain the right skills to stay relevant.
