  2. 2. Elevator Pitch <ul><li>On sporting news websites such as ESPN.com you can get all the information you need regarding sports, such as stats, scores, articles, and blogs, in one place. The one thing you may not be able to get is entertainment. My business allows this by featuring humorous comic strips involving the most popular and recent stories in all sports. </li></ul>

Project Proposal <ul><li>Combining journalism with art and humor. </li></ul><ul><li>New look on sports journalism. </li></ul><ul><li>Another option of news, over the more traditional forms that we are used to seeing (ex. internet, television, and in print). </li></ul><ul><li>Taking the biggest stories in sports with the most journalistic value, and converting them into comic strips. </li></ul><ul><li>Blogs and Discussion boards. </li></ul><ul><li>The comic strips geared toward an adult audience </li></ul><ul><li>Updated every other day with a summary explaining the comic strip in greater detail. </li></ul>

Journalistic Values <ul><li>Timeliness and prominence, creating comics about the biggest most recent stories. </li></ul><ul><li>Does not help the public self govern in a political sense. </li></ul><ul><li>Better understanding of the story, and the sport after viewing it from a different perspective rather then the traditional way. </li></ul><ul><li>Adding a humorous edge and animated pictures to journalism. </li></ul><ul><li>Provides information for all sports fans’ need. </li></ul>

Journalism Crisis <ul><li>It gives a new and different look at sports journalism. </li></ul><ul><li>Anything that is new and innovative from the traditional forms of journalism has the ability to help with the current state of journalism. </li></ul><ul><li>This project uses humor and art to create a new journalistic style that can be used in all of journalism. </li></ul>

Social Media <ul><li>Using social media as an advantage to get the readers reactions and opinions about multiple topics. </li></ul><ul><li>Blogs, discussion boards, picture-sharing twitter and facebook pages. </li></ul><ul><li>Allows readers to interact with other readers and the creators of the comic strips and stories. </li></ul><ul><li>Helps get the word out about my business. </li></ul><ul><li>Inexpensive, helping increase revenue. </li></ul>

Market Research Plan <ul><li>Knowing your audience. </li></ul><ul><li>Finding this information by searching for previous studies done on the topic. </li></ul><ul><li>Conducting my own market research. </li></ul><ul><li>Combining information from pervious studies and my own market research. </li></ul><ul><li>My research involves creating a survey where I can find out about geographic, psychographic, and behavioral aspects of different demographics. </li></ul><ul><li>Surveys to be handed out at different places such as sporting events, college campuses, and public places where I can find a large diverse crowd. </li></ul>
