Carried out a full assessment and produced a report of the whole hospital within 2 weeks of joining. Identified immediate and long term risks and this enabled the hospital to meet the required statutory regulation and compliance obligations. The role saw me verify the validity of medical information supplied in post claim cases and my advice to claim handlers saw the value of individual claims drop significantly, e.g. one claim payment dropped from at least £17k to £3k, one from a potential six figure claim payment to just under £50k.
