  2. 2. Community OpportunityCommunity Coordinators play a vital role in bringing the community together and serve as thelink between resources and residents. For residents to learn about and take full advantage of theprovided resources, they require the assistance of a trusted and dedicated coordinator.Community CoordinatorsTo ensure the effectiveness of each community, choosing the right community coordinator isimportant. The following criteria are minimum requirements for our Community Coordinators: • Available for full time employment • A minimum of 2 years of experience in community coordination • Strong background in case management • A history of empathy and passion to make a difference • Permanent fundingCommunity Coordinators are funded permanently and predictably by Center for Greater Goodthrough cash flow generated by the project rather than relying on multiple grants over time, soresources are available to allow the Community Coordinator to focus on and serve the communityresidents.Budget for OutreachCommunity Coordinators play a vital role in bringing all the community resources together andmaking it available for the residents to use to the fullest potential. In addition to their salary, fundingfor use by the Community Coordinator will be available from Center for the Greater Good using thecash-flow of the property. The Community Coordinator will use the available funding as leverage tobring together the non-profits’, small businesses’ and residents’ participation.Case management and Integrated servicesServe as the single point contact, the Community Coordinator is available to residents with anyproblem – simple or complex. They will work with the resident to address their issue with anappropriate integrated solution.In conjunction with public agencies and non profits, using the funding as leverage, CommunityCoordinators can accomplish goals beyond what they can accomplish individually. In addition tomanaging the administration of programs, they will also be tracking and measuring their progress andefficacy. Using these measurements, they will be designing and revising programs in order to meetand exceed the outcome goals. 2
