  5. 5. Erecting Steel Roof Trusses<br />This is usually done with the help of a hydraulic lift or crane. Laborers secure the trusses in place after they are lifted onto the structure. <br />
  6. 6. Corrugated Roof Decking Delivery<br />These are the sheets of corrugated steal that were to delivered to be used as decking on the roof of The Gorrie Center. <br />Below: A lull forklift unloads the corrugated metal decking to be used on the roof <br />
  7. 7. Installation of corrugated roof decking<br />Labors fasten the decking to the trusses according to the methods listed in The General Notes. <br />
  8. 8. Underside of steel roof decking<br />This is the topside of the decking once it has been fastened and nailing strips are being put in place to support a 1 ½ nail-able deck for felt and shingles.<br />
  9. 9. Here laborers complete the roofing process by nailing asphalt shingles with the appropriate overlap as stated by code over the # 30 felt used to cover the plywood decking. They must work around any MEP components that penetrate. Precautions have to be taken so there is not any water leakage <br />
