Believing Prayer Is An Extremely Powerful Thing

Published on

Prayer is a very powerful thing, and when we truly pray and believe in our heart, our spirit acts on those words, and that is the kind of believing and faith that moves God.

Believing Prayer Is An Extremely Powerful Thing

  2. 2. Many times we don’t use its power every day in the way we should We will pray when someone we know is really sick And we will sacrifice the time to do it Sometimes we will even fast for a time Then when our prayer is answered, many times we slip back into hurried prayers that are vague (God please save all the lost people) and much less urgent UNTIL ANOTHER GREAT NEED ARISES.
  3. 3. They wanted to live their life in whatever way they pleased until God sent judgment upon them for disobeying Him. Then they realized what they had done and cried out to Him to save them. Because of His great mercy He sent them a deliverer time and time again to get them out of the mess they had made of things.
  4. 4. Israel "does evil in the eyes of Yahweh (God)” The people are given into the hands of their enemies, realize what they’ve done, and cry out to God for help God raises up a leader from one of the tribes and places His Spirit upon him in a mighty way The leader, with God’s help, defeats the enemy They had peace for the lifetime of that leader, then quickly relapsed into doing evil again and repeated the same pattern over and over again.
  5. 5. Othniel Ehud Deborah and Barak Gideon Abimelech – their own evil Israelite king Jephthah Samson
  6. 6. He gave the Israelites chance after chance for many years before He finally pronounced judgment on them for their disobedience. Then their judgment was not even close to what they deserved. Many of them chose not to return to Jerusalem years later because they felt they had such a good life in the heathen country where they now lived.
  7. 7. Just like you do your spouse or best friend. You can’t physically see Him but you can find out about Him by reading the Bible, praying, and learning how to hear the Holy Spirit when He speaks. God will meet you where you are NOW – You just have to take the first step.
  8. 8. When you believe in your heart Your spirit acts upon the words of your prayer AND… it is that kind of believing and faith that moves God to act on your behalf
  9. 9. He knows exactly how He will answer your prayer in the way that will be best for you and also glorify Him. He sees how everything will fit together to work for your good. He wants to work in your life in a dramatic way so pray for miracles in your church, family, and that He will meet the needs of others.
  10. 10. Immediately upon waking spend your first 5 minutes in prayer. Then spend the next 5 minutes reading your Bible. God will honor this time and your day will end up being better because of it. BUT… you must decide to START!
  11. 11. Once you truly start to see His Character and how much He loves you, your time with Him will be so precious that you will never want to miss it for other things that are… MUCH LESS VALUABLE!
