This represents mass individual giving, donations by companies and individuals for the development of their communities. Philanthropy infrastructure is constantly being developed in Serbia. Online donations through Donacije.rs are on the rise, and the largest foundations formed the Coalition for Giving in order to develop the culture of giving and reform the legal framework for giving in Serbia through the work of the Philanthropy Council. For the first time since we have been tracking data on giving, the largest sum of money was donated by citizens – 41% of the total recorded sum. Over 80% of all instances were directed towards 4 key themes – healthcare, support to marginalized groups, poverty relief and education.
