educate themselves about safety related issues, including offering classes on self defense.

The Department of Campus Safety is located
off of Evans and High Street in the Nagel
parking garage. However, many DU students
are unaware of where these offices are.

Campus Safety patrol
cars are a common sight
on DU’s campus. Officers
patrol DU’s campus and
respond to calls 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.
Theft is one of the most common crimes that occur on DU’s campus. All
students are encouraged to lock up their important possessions such as
bikes and personal devices. According to the Annual Campus Safety
Report, in 2015, there were thirteen motor vehicles thefts on campus.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice
one out of every four undergraduate
women will be victim to some form of
sexual assault. Since March 1st there have
been two sexual assaults on DU’s campus.
The University of Denver offers multiple resources
when it comes to student safety and victim
support. One of the most known resources is the
counseling center CAPE (The Center for Advocacy,
Prevention, and Empowerment).
