ICTIOCOURO FOR SUSTAINABLE FASHION The enlargement of the fish sector in halieutic communities, aimed at producing the Ictiocouro*, can: - Mitigate the harmful effects caused by the disposal of organic waste (fish skin) deposited in riverbeds and domestic ports; - Mitigate harmful effects on society and the unemployment of young female; - Add value to hand gender work; - Improve the quality of life and social conditions of fishermen; - Transform the byproduct, otherwise discarded, into higher value added products in the fisheries production chain; - Improve the quality of the final product and maximize profit ; - Use the fashion design as a strategic element for market positioning * Ictiocouro - name created by the researcher to name the sustainable fish leather, generated in Halieutiques extractive communities
