With the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Career Angels
wanted to understand how it actually affected the job market. We
started to record and compare unemployment levels vs. the
number of job ads published on LinkedIn.

From the employer perspective: more demand for
candidates = salaries and/or benefit packages go
up. The “post and pray” approach might not work.
On the other hand, more candidates, more choice,
more negotiation flexibility.
From the candidate perspective: more demand =
"less effort" put into the job search (less time, more
space to negotiate salary).
