    2. 2. The Industrial Revolution• A rapid development of industry in Britain during 1750 - 1800 brought up by machinery

Urbanization• To transform a population of people into a city/town• The cotton industry was the industry that planted and sold cotton• There was a migration of people from rural to urban during the Industrial Revolution• People move from farms to cities because of the industries and factories that grew during that time
    4. 4. Agricultural Revolution• Farmers were able to produce more farming products. This led to a better economy and the ability to produce machines.• Crop rotation is strategic planting of crops throughout the year so the fields don’t go unused and the plant waste can be used for regrowing used plants
    5. 5. Textiles• Textiles were the first industry to boom during the period• Textiles were cloth or woven fabric• The loom and gin mill were the two main inventions used for making textiles• Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin
    6. 6. Steam Engine• Thomas Newcomen/Savery invented it. James Watt improved it.• 1698 - 1712 – invention date• It was important because it was more efficient then people were, especially in pushing objects
