Editor's Notes

  • #3 Some Examples of the usage of Ultragrid in Catalonia: Liceu Opera House, MACBA, UPF, Institut del Teatre, CSUC
  • #4 We use Ultragrid for performances that involve dancers and where high quality video and low latency are important. We use it to dance together, through high performance networks, research and education networks. We hope to fully use them again very soon when we go back to a normal situation. We have used Ultragrid many times and we now it’s a reliable tool that comes form the research and education world, where we belong.
  • #6 22 m2 screen. It’s flexible. You can use it with different bandwidths. Depending on the BW you use, tha latency will be higher or lower. If you have more bandwidth, you can use uncompressed video, If you have less bandwidth, there are several flavours of compression you can use, that will affect on your latency, but will still let you do amazing things in networked performances.
  • #7 And, if you have a good network, you can alway use the benefits of working in a R&E network. Here we were using uncompressed video and
  • #9 The CESNET team is helpful, they even developed special features that the artists asked for, to be able to use NDI video signals. We use communication channels like chat tools and they are there to solve possible issues if needed.
