Van Glabbeek introducres the possibilities and limitations of push, and how to combine it with SMS to create optimal coverage. SMS has the reach and push is low cost. Combined together it delivers a powerful tool; hence hybrid messaging.
Hybrid messaging can be delivered in several ways. As a direct push option using an existing app. As done for booking.com.
Using the appdominal SDK (software development kit), building the functionality into an existing or new app. As done for ANWB and StudyCall.
Using a container app, which shows a mobile website in an app. Using the built-in push functionality of the app, as done for Ayton.
Or with a completely new, branded app. White labeled solution as used by Leaseplan.
Or finally using Notifire. CM's own brand, very low cost.
