How Do People Change?His divine power has granted to us all thingsthat pertain to life and godliness, through theknowledge of him who called us to his ownglory and excellence, by which he has grantedto us his precious and very great promises, sothat through them you may become partakersof the divine nature, having escaped from thecorruption that is in the world because ofsinful desire.

How Do People Change?For this very reason, make every effort tosupplement your faith with virtue, andvirtue with knowledge, and knowledge withself-control, and self-control withsteadfastness, and steadfastness withgodliness, and godliness with brotherlyaffection, and brotherly affection with love.
  5. 5. How Do People Change?For if these qualities are yours and areincreasing, they keep you from beingineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge ofour Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks thesequalities is so nearsighted that he is blind,having forgotten that he was cleansed fromhis former sins. 2 Peter 1:3-9 (ESV)
  6. 6. Our lives should reflect:• Peaceful, loving relationships,• A sweet, natural, day-to-day worship of the Lord,• A wholesome and balanced relationship to material things,• And ongoing spiritual growth.
  7. 7. Instead, many leave a trail of:• Broken relationships,• A knowledgeable but impersonal walk with God,• A struggle with material things,• And a definite lack of personal growth.
  8. 8. 3 kinds of blindness: • IDENTITY • PROVISION • PROCESS
  9. 9. Life NOW should be marked by: • CONSTANT work, • CONSTANT growth, • CONSTANT confession, • CONSTANT repentance
