Have you ever wondered what your colleagues do in their IVLE courses? Ever thought of how you can optimise IVLE's potential to enhance your teaching? Or you have tried using IVLE before but was dissatisfied with the outcome? In this session, we will help you discover practical ways that IVLE is being employed by our fellow colleagues to enhance their students' learning experience. We will also showcase some good practices in planning and managing the tools in IVLE.

Extend real-time class discussionsActivity : Communication, CollaborationTool(s) used: IVLE Discussion Forum, IVLE Chat roomDescription:  Divide students into groups to discuss on different issues related to a topic in class  Students post a summary of the group discussion on the discussion forum  Class discusses each group’s inputs/comments  Allows for review/re-visit/continue discussion

Create course glossary with picturesActivity : Content creationTool(s) used: Glossary bank, IVLE WorkbinDescription:  Create a glossary which features works of students  A student defines a term along with a picture to illustrate along with references to the pictures origins  Allow your students to submit the entries to the workbin and then you/tutor can update the glossary

Enhanced MCQs Knowledge, Comprehension, Application,Activity : AnalysisTool(s) used: IVLE AssessmentDescription:  Five options with one correct option  Question: Requires students to consider extensive new information (one para to half a page)  Sufficient time for reading the question and thinking about options  Suitable for open book examinations
