Editor's Notes
A couple months ago, we received a thank you email from the Chief of Police for the State of Amapa, Brazil.
Leonardo and his team of 12 have the formidable task of patroling an area of forest the size of Nepal.
They started using GFW’s alerts and mobile app last year to help them prioritize their patrols.
They’re now uncovering more illegal activity and making more arrests.
GFW has been such a game changer for them, they are sharing their experience to other police precincts.
