  4. 4. 1. Greeting cards  The custom of sending greeting cards can be traced back to the ancient Chinese  sent to convey thanks or express other feeling
  5. 5. 2. Metro: The idea  Rapid transit train system.  The first metro system, the London Underground, was opened in 1863  As of January 2014, there are 190 metro systems in 54 countries in the world.
  6. 6. Metro: Introduction in India  Urban passenger transport systems  The first rapid transit system in India was the Kolkata Metro, which started operations in 1984  Delhi metro began its operations in 2002.
  7. 7. 3. Levi Strauss and Company  Founded in 1853  Jacob Davis invented the work pants, combining the tough denim from Levi Strauss with the idea to add copper rivets to key stress points  blue jeans are particularly identified with American culture
