Il progetto NPFP ha sviluppato e applicato nuovi paradigmi di progettazione, costruzione e funzionamento alle macchine e agli impianti per l’industria alimentare:
Paradigma 1 (P1): “Progettazione e produzione mediante nuove tecnologie” basato sull’uso integrato di tecnologie produttive a forma finita, nuovi materiali, tecnologie non convenzionali di giunzione (ad esempio incollaggio, Friction Stir Welding.).
Paradigma 2 (P2): “Controllo del processo dalle proprietà del prodotto trasformato” basato sull’uso integrato di metodi sperimentali e numerici.

Some of the techs (AM, FSW) have potential but not yet ready for a broad application in the field of food equipment 3. Companies have found an advantage from the project, both of direct revenue or of increased awareness .
