  18. 18. ’Senior Stop’-activity (=Senioripysäkki)<br /><ul><li>Finland’s Slot Machine Association (RAY) is financially supporting many of our development work
  19. 19. At Senior Stop we offer discussion groups for elderly people (over 60 years)
  20. 20. Groups are intended for elderly people with depression, melancholy, loneliness, different crises of life situations etc. </li></li></ul><li>’Senior Stop’-activity (=Senioripysäkki)<br /><ul><li>Groups are guided by our professional Senior Stop workers
  21. 21. Clients can have support from each other at the group
  22. 22. Clients can also meet our workers in private
  23. 23. We have some volunteers (like health care students) who make home visits to our elderly clients
  24. 24. At Senior Stop we also want to take part of the public discussion about elderly people’s loneliness in Finland</li></li></ul><li>’Senior Stop’-activity (=Senioripysäkki)<br /><ul><li>Senior Stop -activity prevents repeated doctor and emergency visits
  25. 25. It supports elderly people’s living on their own homes
  26. 26. It fortifies client’s own social network
  27. 27. It increases experience of community and thereby relieves loneliness and depression
  28. 28. Often the group members see each other after the group has ended and they become friends</li></li></ul><li>’Senior Stop’-activity (=Senioripysäkki)<br /><ul><li>At each Senior Stop group there can be 6 to 8 persons
  29. 29. Groups get together once every week, 1,5 hours per meeting
  30. 30. Groups meet 16, 24 or 36 times (length of 4, 6 or 9 months)
  31. 31. Groups are mainly for both men and women, if needed we can establish groups for example only for men, only over 80 years old and so on. </li></li></ul><li>
