Brittany Ollerenshaw organized a successful 2014 exhibition at the Belleville Library titled "Unravelling Vincent: The Van Gogh Project" that started as an entry in a juried show and grew into a documentary film and exhibition. The curator, Susan Holland, was impressed by Brittany's leadership, focus, and ability to guide artists through the creative process, filming, and exhibition mounting. Holland would be happy to work with Brittany again and looks forward to seeing her future projects based on her talent and skills in creative thinking, organization, and seeing a project through to completion.

To Whom it May Concern:
I am thrilled to supply a letter of reference for Brittany Ollerenshaw, after having worked
with her on her 2014 exhibition here, titled “Unravelling Vincent: The Van Gogh
Project”. It was an exceptional experience for me to be part of this young artist’s vision
and to be swept up in her enthusiasm and passion for this project.
I first became intrigued by this concept when I read Brittany’s call for artists in the arts
newspaper Umbrella. I’m not sure who approached who about the possibility of a show,
but it did come to fruition.
What started as an entry of a piece of her own artwork in a juried show, transcended to a
“what if” thought, to a concept, to an ever broadening project and culminated in a
documentary film and exhibition of outstanding quality.
This being her first endeavor of this kind, I was truly impressed by Brittany’s poise and
focus during the process. She had very good relationships with all of the artists involved
which in turn led to an excitement in them that was evident both in the film and in the
work they created. Brittany flawlessly led a group of artists through the creative process,
the filming and the rigors of mounting an exhibition. This is no small feat!
Brittany is a very creative thinker who can organize and see a project through to
completion. She left a very positive lasting impression for me and I would not hesitate to
work with her again. I look forward to seeing what this talented individual presents in the
future.
Best regards,
Susan Holland, Curator
