Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) At Capgemini, we know that many actors play a role in the evolution and adoption of PLM for any industry. These range from the actual product companies strategizing internally, to industry thought leaders investigating market trends, to software vendors developing new and innovative ways to support their customers, and the actual delivery teams doing the leg work in implementing these improvement plans on time and on budget. Therefore, Capgemini is bringing all these different roles together for a series of open and collaborative panel discussion podcasts. That’s right—we’re bringing leading PLM representatives from different industry segments, including Automotive, Retail and Consumer Products, Discrete Manufacturing, Life Sciences and Medical Devices, Aerospace and High Tech, to talk about what works and what doesn’t, what is the future for PLM, and how do we get there. Players from each area of PLM, such as leading product companies, industry consultants, PLM software vendors, and the teams that deliver them will participate in these discussions during a one-hour topic-based think tank to identify market trends, practical use cases, and the future of PLM. The topics that will be discussed in this podcast relate to the digitization of the product landscape and to the management of the associated process. These topics are: * PLM—Defining and Managing the Digital Twin Throughout the Lifecycle * Internet of Things (IoT) Expanding PLM * Big Data PLM Impact with Social Networks, Mobile and Cloud * Model-Based X and the Digital Thread of PLM * Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Artificial Intelligence * PLM Virtual Reality and the Omni-Channel * Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) and PLM * ALM/PLM System Enterprise—Challenges and Opportunities of Interoperability The podcast series is scheduled to start in March 2018, followed by a to-be- determined regular broadcasting cadence. We will announce the scheduled dates on all social media and though registration before each broadcast in order to prepare and accurately market for attendance. We look forward to this experience with all those who participate as a panelist or attendee. All the best!
