What is the Krewe of Calypseaux? We are a parading krewe based in St. Charles, MO. We participate in the Soulard Mardi GrasParades, and several other area parades throughout the year
What isthe Krewe ofCalypseaux all about? The Krewe ofCalypseaux is dedicated to providing a high-quality float to entertain the community. And to have fun while doing it!
What’s with theMermaids? Mark and Ritaare our mascots andride with us in all of our parades! They came to us from Eureka Springs Arkansas
Why such afunny name – can’t youpeople spell? We liked “Calypso” but it was already taken by a krewe in Port Arthur, TX… so we just “cajunized” the spelling… it sounds the same!
What are your floats like? The Krewe of Calypseaux has two permanent parade floats. We enjoy decoratingthese floats and work on them all year long to prepare for parade season!
Howcompetitive is your krewe? We do this for fun… but are proud to say that our floats are crowd favorites and consistentlytake home awards
I am notparticularlyhandy or artistic,can I still join thekrewe? Of course you can!We enjoy fun people of all types! Andwho knows, you may discover a hidden talent for covering things with glitter!
