STATE OF PLAY <ul><li>8 Operational Programme documents endorsed </li></ul><ul><li>17 Calls for Proposals launched </li></ul><ul><li>Submitted and assessed over 2000 project proposals with partners from Serbia </li></ul><ul><li>More than 300 projects from IPA Component II are in the process of implementation. Additional 100 subsidy contracts are expected to be signed in the near future </li></ul><ul><li>OUR GOAL – BORDERS WHICH UNITE </li></ul>

PROJECT AND PROGRAMME LEVEL -SYNERGY IN CAPACITY BUILDING Programme ’ s role : help in project generation and implementation, provide funding for the best projects + Project’s role : demonstrate its value ( “ Projects- best ambasadors ” ) = Programme ’ s and Project’s role : obtain the support of the public and the stakeholders – improvement of daily life of population which lives in relevant regions

RAISING CAPACITIES <ul><li>Local offices – skillful personnel </li></ul><ul><li>Cooperation between all relevant stakeholders (e.g. Line Ministries, RDAs, NGOs, Local Authorities, Educational institutions, Regional Chambers of Commerce…) </li></ul><ul><li>Improvement and strengthening of cooperation with institutions from neighbouring/partner countries, both on central and local level </li></ul><ul><li>Over 100 Workshops on preparation of project proposals/Info days/Partner search forums organised </li></ul><ul><li>Over 50 Implementing workshops organised </li></ul><ul><li>Conference on results and achievements every 2 years </li></ul>

RECOMMENDATIONS <ul><li>Visibility of Cross-Border and Transnational Programmes should be increased on all levels </li></ul><ul><li>Harmonization and simplifications of Programmes implementation rules and procedures (“learning by doing approach”) </li></ul><ul><li>Increase of funds available for Programmes (more balanced distribution of funds for Programmes with MS and non-MS) </li></ul>
