• A VRE is a web-based system that can be accessed on-
demand through a simple user interface.
• It provides users with a secure access to collaborative
tools, services, data and computational facilities
meeting their specific needs.
• Created on-demand, hardware setup and software
deployment required to operate these facilities are
completely transparent to the VRE creator.
