  • The first concept is that selling is like kissing comes from a news article written by our president, bestselling author Gerry Robert. He wrote an article a few year ago discussing cutting edge marketing concepts and he wrote that selling is like kissing. The best kissers are always leaning forward. That article has really resonated and stuck with our company!
  • Here’s a diagram of your marketplace. You know based on the pareto principle that 20% of the marketplace is giving you 80% of your sales.What most people do is the go up the bottom. They go for the unknown. They do cold calls to anyone who will listen, they will do anything with anyone who will give them a few minutes and although that works is not effective and its really tough! What we like to do is focus on the top 20% who are ready, willing and able to buy what you sell. This concept applies to all business including yours.
  • What we do is we offer an Attraction Marketing Device or an AME to pull them out of the woodwork. We let them raise their hand and demonstrate that they are ready willing and able to buy what you sell. Most people I talk to tell me that if they could just get in front of the right person, they know they could sell them.
  • The second concept I want to present is that most businesses want the customer to buy when they are ready to sell. I call this in your face buy now marketing. It’s typically very pushy and oh it works but it’s a short term thing. If they don’t buy right away, the business typically stops paying attention and misses out on the biggest opportunity. I was talking to a client the other day and he was saying that when someone comes into his business he typically always sells them. He was very happy about this and so he should be but after working with him for a few minutes, we uncovered that for every customer he sold, he had the potential for another 9 customers (for example friends and family) that he was not selling. We say that you have to be ready to sell when they are ready to buy. If you’re not in the position then you’re experiencing FUF.
  • The way we seal the funnel is with our third concept I want to let a system deal with suspects and have people deal with prospects. You have people right now but the problem is they are dealing with everyone. They could be wasting their time with tire kickers or just about anyone.
