RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
As MANET promising network type in future mobile applications, MANETs are attracting
more and more researchers.
Our research methodology will give detailed discussion in the following aspects.
1. Energy consumption of the sensing device should be minimized and sensor nodes
should be energy efficient as the energy determines their lifetime.
2. Sensor nodes usually have a small amount of memory. Hence, sensor network
protocols should not require the storage of a large amount of information at the sensor
node.
3. Sensor nodes are prone to failure.
4. It is not possible for humans to repair each sensor node, as the number of nodes is
large. Hence, self-organization of sensor nodes is required.
5. Protocols designed for sensor networks should be highly scalable.
Along with above parameters our research will achieve estimation of link and path
lifetimes and improves the performance of MANET routing protocols in various
applications.
