Attorney Bill Minick has been a featured speaker on workers’ compensation alternatives at events hosted by the National Academy of Social Insurance and other large organizations. Nonprofit and nonpartisan, the National Academy of Social Insurance promotes the economic benefits of social insurance programs. The academy, which is located in Washington, D.C., also works to advance innovative solutions in the social insurance realm through efforts such as the Social Insurance Research Network (SIRN) program.
  3. 3.  SIRN was established in 2004 to share and advance social insurance-related research and policies. SIRN includes five scholarly journals that specialize in subject areas including disability and workers’ compensation, health care, and poverty, as well as matters of income, retirement, and unemployment. The network is part of the larger Social Science Research Network and is hosted online to provide an accessible platform for advancing social insurance research.
