Why Migration Required?  People are addicted towards web based collaboration platform, addicted towards Mobile, tablet etc.  People want to take advantages of Office applications  World is moving very fast but Lotus Notes is Idle now, No new Features added  Licensing factor, In SP no client license or software required.  Can not do Collaboration, Enterprise Search etc.  No Life cycle management: Unused databases unnecessary in the lotus notes server, but in SharePoint it can not. Expectations & Challenges Expectations:  - Functionalities  - Data: Single line text data, rich text box data, embedded objects, attachment etc.  - Good UI  - System Information:  Created Date, Created By  Modified Date, Modified By. Challenges:  - Design should be accepted by the end users  - Will we lose any data?  - Perfect tool or ways to migrate the rich data as it is.  - Recreate the application  - Permission levels  - Trained to the team like administrators. Size of Data per database and overall in all databases  Frequency of Data usages  Do you want to archive some data?  How many forms have been used and complexity of form? Review & Understand Lotus Notes Forms:  How many fields in the form  What are the data types of all the fields? Single line or Multiline or Richtextbox etc. Will SharePoint support all?  Does it contains lots of calculations?  Show hide based on Security group?  Level of validation presented  Does it contains workflow, lookup fields, reports, exports etc.?
