INTRODUCTION <ul><li>This is an initiative by 15/11! :) </li></ul><ul><li>There are around 80 volunteers. </li></ul><ul><li>Beneficiary: Operation Smiles Singapore </li></ul><ul><li>Objective: To raise awareness for Operation Smile Singapore, a non-for-profit organisation that provides free treatment to children and adults suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates. </li></ul>

    6. 6. 3 FACTS ABOUT CLEFT LIP <ul><li>Results in eating problems, speech problems, hearing loss and dental problems </li></ul><ul><li>Each operation takes 45 minutes, and for approximately SGD $360 </li></ul><ul><li>1.87 per 1000 babies have this deformity in Singapore </li></ul>

PROCEDURE <ul><li>Please report at 9.45am for attendance taking. </li></ul><ul><li>Collect your boards from the logistics team after taking attendance. </li></ul><ul><li>IMPT: Remember to inform the public that we will be posting their photos on Facebook before taking photos with them! </li></ul><ul><li>Lunch: </li></ul><ul><li>20/11 & 15/11 : 12-1pm </li></ul><ul><li>11/11 & 17/11: 1-2pm </li></ul>

CONT’D… <ul><li>Return to in front of Ngee Ann City to transfer photos if memory is full. </li></ul><ul><li>Try to get as many photos as possible!  (our aim is 2000 smiles) </li></ul><ul><li>Report back to booth at 1845pm. (MUST report back to booth otherwise hours will not be counted) </li></ul>

TREE <ul><li>To show the public our progress and how many smiles we have obtained </li></ul><ul><li>Ornaments (left, not drawn to scale) added as smiles are collected </li></ul><ul><li>Ornaments are hung using strings, tied to Christmas tree </li></ul><ul><li>Each ornament represents 50 smiles </li></ul><ul><li>At 2000 smiles, a star will be placed on top. </li></ul>1000 500 1500 2000
    23. 23. CIP HOURS <ul><li>CIP hours will be awarded according to the number of smiles each group get. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>150 smiles per group = 10 hours of CIP </li></ul></ul><ul><li>2 hours will be awarded for this briefing </li></ul><ul><li>Max is 12 hours. </li></ul>
