Our client is a large global provider of innovative mechanical solutions, technology and services for the drilling sector of the oil and gas industry. Some of their departments include Engineering, Manufacturing, Repair & Maintenance, QHSE, Reliability, and Operations.
They were frustrated because even after investing a large amount of time and money their various enterprise software systems were not aligned properly with their unique, and complex business processes. As a result, the organization became siloed, and each functional area began to use their own tools, such as excel spreadsheets and custom access databases, to manage their business.
MT Works was brought in to provide a solution. We worked with our client's key stakeholders to defined business processes and standardize data collection, workflow, and reporting. We identified key data sets and created mapping for specific data fields from existing systems. The solution we delivered integrated data from their multiple enterprise data sources and provided custom workflows and data entry forms, scorecard based reporting, and management dashboards.
Our solution helped break down the silos, standardized business processes, and eliminated the need for “non-standard” management tools. Our client reported reported an overall increase in productivity, individual accountability, and transparency into the organization’s processes across business units.
