During this time,entrance fees to all national park areas will be waived. Why not celebrate by visiting FlorissantFossil Beds National Monument? Families may be interested in a special day for kids called JuniorRanger Day which will be Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Junior Ranger Day is a chance for children to earn badges and patches and become Junior Rangersand help out our national parks. Through a variety of hands-on activities children will learn aboutfossils, wildlife, wildfire, and outdoor skills. Throughout the day, children complete fun, engaginggames in their Junior Ranger books, go on hikes, see the park film and exhibits, and explore. Therewill also be a live, children’s music concert at 1:00 PM with children’s musician Ranger Jeff Wolin.While many activities are geared towards families, there are always plenty of activities to do for allvisitors such as hiking, exhibits, the park film, and two short, self-guided nature trails.Questions?
