  2. 2. Boil  Fill a pot halfway with water. Add 1 ½ tbsp. salt to the water and bring to a boil over high heat.  Place the crab legs in the water once a boil and reduce heat to medium-high.  Simmer for crab legs from 6 to 7 minutes in the pot.  Take the crab legs from the pot and rinse briefly before serving.
