Current Status of Public Transit Information(PTI) Services Rapid spread of BIS & BMS < Cities operating BIS* > Ø BIS was first introduced to three ITS model cities of South Korea in 2000 (Daejeon, Jeju, Jeonju) Ø 52 cities are toady operating BIS (Seoul, Busan, Daugu, Incheon, etc.) Ø 61 cities are today providing bus information through message board, internet, ARS, Mobile, etc. Page 4 * ITS Plan 2020: Automobile and Road Transportation (Draft), KOTI(2011)
