Curing • Curing – not less than 7 days • Exposed Surface covered by Polythene sheet after finishing • After 24 hours / Stiffened, Replace the Polythene sheet with wet hessian cloth • Frequent water application under the polythene sheet to keep the hessian permanently wet • Alternatively, the exposed surface may be ponded using mixing- quality water • Approved Curing Compound agent
  • 25. Protective Coating • Exposed Holes & Surface Imperfections are filled with approved repair material prior to coating • For Contact with Soil & up to 300mm from Grade Level – Two Coats of Protective System with Glass Matt (WFT 400 microns) – Glass Mat ( 120-150 GSM) • For Above 300mm from Grade Level – Two Coats of Fosroc Dekguard S / Equivalent (DFT 350 microns) • For contact with Oil/water mixture – Petro-chemical resistant coating
  • 26. Grouting Type of Grouts  Sand Cement Grout – (Static Structures)  1:2 (Cement & Sand) with Water ratio : 0.4max)  Compressive strength at 28 days – 35N/mm2 and at 7days 25N/mm2  Non-Shrink Grout – (Rotating & Reciprocating Equipment)  Cement Based Non-Shrink – 75N/mm2  Epoxy Based Non-Shrink – 95N/mm2
  • 27. Grouting  Using of Type S & F Sleeves – Glass Wool to be fill up to 65mm from Top  Soaking for 24hours prior to grouting & Excess water to be remove  For Epoxy Grout – Surface to be dry unless specified  Verify the Gaps between Base plate and concrete surface 25mm to 50mm  Mix Temperature – 27oC or manufacturer recommendation  Placing of Grout – 30min not later the mixing completion  Curing – 7days
