  2. 2. Who are we? MARCH OF DIMES TODAY March of Dimes helps moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. And if something goes wrong, we offer information and comfort to families. We research the problems that threaten our babies and work on preventing them. The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit health organization that champions the needs of moms and babies in your community and across the nation. We funded the research that lead to the prevention of polio. And we haven’t stopped defending the health of babies since. From pioneering genetic research to promoting folic acid to fighting for lifesaving newborn screening, the March of Dimes continues to do all we can to make sure every baby is born healthy.

Signature Chefs Vegas Night <ul><li>The Signature Chefs Vegas Night is a fine dining fundraiser in a relaxed atmosphere with many networking opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Several local top chefs prepare their best hors d’oeuvres and signature dishes for people to try. </li></ul><ul><li>The food is prepared by chefs from some of the most respected, locally owned restaurants in the community. </li></ul><ul><li>There are hundreds of guests who enjoy fine dining in attendance, including many community leaders. </li></ul><ul><li>Play your favorite casino games for a chances to win exciting prizes. </li></ul><ul><li>Enjoy music and dancing. </li></ul>Signature Chefs Vegas Night
  4. 4. Participating Chefs <ul><li>The restaurant business is one of the most competitive businesses there is today. Our Signature Chefs event is a great way for restaurants to promote their business in the community and introduce their cuisine to new customers. The March of Dimes has a proven track record of bringing new business to participating restaurants. </li></ul><ul><li>Participating restaurants will receive the following: </li></ul><ul><li>Restaurant name and logo place cards on tables. </li></ul><ul><li>Restaurant name and logo on event invitations and posters. </li></ul><ul><li>One full-page ad in event program book and full page biography of Executive Chef. </li></ul><ul><li>Placement of signage in registration area. </li></ul><ul><li>Acknowledgement in all media efforts and in advertising for the event. </li></ul><ul><li>Link to the restaurant/company website from the March of Dimes website. </li></ul><ul><li>Chefs invited to give a 5-minute presentation to promote their restaurant and describe what they are serving at the event. </li></ul><ul><li>All chefs are entered in the Top Chef Competition. The Top Chef will be picked by the event guests, who fill out comment cards. March of Dimes Volunteers will tally the comment cards and the winner will be announced that evening and given a prize, to be determined. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Prepare and serve one or two sample-size specialty dishes that will serve 200 guests. </li></ul><ul><li>Bring all equipment needed for serving. In order to control excess heat from chafing dishes and other flame type heating, please use CHOICE HEAT, a liquid heat with a wick. </li></ul><ul><li>Arrive at least one hour before event for set-up (6:00 p.m.) and be present for the event. </li></ul><ul><li>Allow March of Dimes permission to use chef’s name and restaurant in all print materials used in conjunction with the event. </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in activities promoting the event including TV and radio interviews. </li></ul><ul><li>Submit to March of Dimes a 200-word biography and photo of the chef/establishment for program book by 09/15/09. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide logo and website link to March of Dimes to for Signature Chef’s Vegas Night website. </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in top Raffle Prize. Be willing to team up with 2 other participating chefs to prepare a 3 course meal for 6 at the winner’s house. One course prepared by each chef. </li></ul>Restaurant and Chef Responsibilities
  6. 6. A Place to Relax <ul><li>After the Chef’s have completed their duties for the night there will be a reserved area for them to relax </li></ul><ul><li>The Chef’s will be able to enjoy the remainder of the festivities. </li></ul>
