Editor's Notes
Wilhelm Reich: Each person fit into 5 major categories. People with similar childhood experiences and child/parent relations had similar bodies. People with similar bodies had similar basic psychological dynamics based on trauma that occurred at a similar age. His view was biological and disease oriented. (Body/Mind Psychotherapy)
Working together, Alexander Lowan (Bioenergetics) and John Pierrakos (Core Energetics) categorized the major aspect of character structure on the physical and personality levels. John Pierrakos then added the spiritual and energetic aspects. He also related chakra function to the character structures.
Jim Cox: Developed the Major Aspects of Each Character Structure Charts for his bioenergetics training class. (The Teleios Technique)
Barbara Brennan: Integrated these observations and added the nature of the higher self and personal life task of each structure. She also developed the general auric patterns of each structure and the energetic defense systems each characterology uses. Barbara added her own energy field observations to the Major Aspects Charts. Often circumstances and experiences are determined by the belief systems we carry.
