  17. 17. www.baw.de | High-performance Computers  Objective: Working with mathematical models which are not possible or which would not be appropriate to run on PCs  Equipment: There are a total of three high-performance computers (HPCs) at the Karlsruhe and Hamburg locations. This guarantees a high level of availability as any HPC functions which fail can be temporarily taken over by the other HPCs.
