I request X review □ duplication (check applicable boxes) of the following records.
Important: You must identify or describe the records with sufficient specificity to enable the
Perkasie Borough to determine which records are being requested. Use additional sheets if
necessary.
● Assessment/tax records for Henry and Margaret Nahrman, owners of 47 of the 66 acres
that allegedly comprise the Wyckford Commons subdivision, from 1945 through 1989.
TMPs: 33-009-043 and 33-013-018. Note: Despite previous denials from both Perkasie
Borough and Bucks County for this information due to the fact that tax records are not
mandated to be provided for the time period in question, I am requesting that an
exception be made if possible.
● Any additional records that would list the physical street address of Henry and Margaret
Nahrman for the previously-referenced years. Assessment information obtained at the
Bucks County Law Library in Doylestown from 1974 (the only year on file for public
review) lists “RD 3, Perkasie, PA” as the street address. While “700 S. Main St.” is the
address of the 33-013-018 parcel, I am not confident that it is the address--or only
address--of the tract of land represented in the 1945 deed from Reiter to Nahrman for
numerous reasons, two of which are noted below:
− The February 16, 1976 issue of the Doylestown Intelligencer lists the street
address for Margaret Nahrman as “100 S. Main St., Perkasie.” See “Addendum
1.”
− Page 15 of the book 75th
Anniversary of Perkasie, 1879 - 1954 states that
Margaret Nahrman owned one of the oldest homes in the borough and that it was
“built in 1812.” Bucks County records indicate that “700 S. Main St., Perkasie”
was built in 1890. See “Addendum 2.”
● Assessment/tax records for any property located at “100 N. Main St., Perkasie”
(present-day location of the Coventry subdivision), from 1945 through 1989. Said
subdivision was constructed by Katz-Swerdloff, developer of Wyckford Commons, at the
same time the Mews at Wyckford Commons was built. A total of 132 units were
constructed in Coventry and the adjacent streets added later, which is the exact same
number of units in Wyckford Mews. Acreage for the area in question is also exact. Note:
The aforementioned exception for the provision of tax records for the time period in
question is being requested for this item as well.
● All Perkasie Borough street maps from 1890 through present. Specific maps are being
requested that depict the locations of “North Main Street,” “South Main Street,” “East
Main Street,” and “West Main Street” throughout the years.
● Any map or ordinance from the aforementioned time period relating to the extension of
“Main Street” eastward past Callowhill Street into East Rockhill Township to include a
47-acre property with the address of “700 Branch Rd., Perkasie.”
● All records, meeting minutes, codes, ordinances, etc. that support the limits of Perkasie
Borough as represented in the map pictured in “Addendum 3.” Said map reflects
annexation of land from Hilltown Township to Perkasie Borough (area bounded by the
old boundary line below South Main Street to the north, Walnut Street to the east, Route
113 to the south, and Diamond Street to the west). The boundaries for Perkasie Borough
began to appear like this online in 2013.
● All records, meeting minutes, codes, ordinances, etc. pertaining to the borough's creation
of the 1940 Perkasie Borough Zoning Map as is pictured in “Addendum 4.” Specific
information is being requested to support the following:
− The reference to “Clinton Street” on the adjacent “Sellersville Estates” tract. No
recorded plans/documents for said subdivision include said street. “Elmhurst
Avenue” is the name of the street in all recorded material.
− The reason for the absence of property lines in the South Perkasie area bounded
by present-day Constitution Avenue to the north, Walnut Street to the east,
Hilltown Township to the south, and the Sellersville Borough line to the west.
− The “Reconnaissance Map by the U.S. Geological Survey of the U.S. Dept. of
Interior, Edition of Sep. 1894, - Reprinted in 1929” used by Perkasie Borough for
the creation of this document specific to the placement of adjacent township lines.
This document was requested from several agencies, none of which have it nor
are aware of its existence. See “Addendum 5.”
● All Perkasie Borough Council meeting minutes, corresponding maps, and applicable
codes/ordinances for Perkasie Borough land annexations from the following years: 1891,
1896, 1898, 1913, 1930, 1971, and 1972 through 2015.
● All borough codes, maps, ordinances, and meeting minutes relating to the physical
relocation of any portion of Perkasie Borough from 1890 through present. Note:
Numerous references are made in several local history books to buildings being lifted
from their foundations and literally “rolled” to new locations, but--not surprisingly--never
once has any explanation been given or additional detail been provided as to why. An
example of this is on page 16 of the book 75th
Anniversary of Perkasie, 1879 – 1954,
describing the American House being relocated and “rolled through a field” to its new
location approximately 800 feet west of where it was originally. Similar references have
been made in other publications regarding the physical relocation of Perkasie Borough
structures to new locations, inclusive of the H.D. Moyer property at Main and Walnut.

Note: Despite previous denials from both Perkasie Borough and Bucks County for this information due to the fact that tax records are not mandated to be provided for the time period in question, I am requesting that an exception be made if possible. ● Any additional records that would list the physical street address of Henry and Margaret Nahrman for the previously-referenced years. Assessment information obtained at the Bucks County Law Library in Doylestown from 1974 (the only year on file for public review) lists “RD 3, Perkasie, PA” as the street address. While “700 S. Main St.” is the address of the 33-013-018 parcel, I am not confident that it is the address--or only address--of the tract of land represented in the 1945 deed from Reiter to Nahrman for numerous reasons, two of which are noted below: − The February 16, 1976 issue of the Doylestown Intelligencer lists the street address for Margaret Nahrman as “100 S. Main St., Perkasie.” See “Addendum 1.” − Page 15 of the book 75th Anniversary of Perkasie, 1879 - 1954 states that Margaret Nahrman owned one of the oldest homes in the borough and that it was “built in 1812.” Bucks County records indicate that “700 S. Main St., Perkasie” was built in 1890. See “Addendum 2.” ● Assessment/tax records for any property located at “100 N. Main St., Perkasie” (present-day location of the Coventry subdivision), from 1945 through 1989. Said subdivision was constructed by Katz-Swerdloff, developer of Wyckford Commons, at the same time the Mews at Wyckford Commons was built. A total of 132 units were constructed in Coventry and the adjacent streets added later, which is the exact same number of units in Wyckford Mews. Acreage for the area in question is also exact. Note:

The aforementioned exception for the provision of tax records for the time period in question is being requested for this item as well. ● All Perkasie Borough street maps from 1890 through present. Specific maps are being requested that depict the locations of “North Main Street,” “South Main Street,” “East Main Street,” and “West Main Street” throughout the years. ● Any map or ordinance from the aforementioned time period relating to the extension of “Main Street” eastward past Callowhill Street into East Rockhill Township to include a 47-acre property with the address of “700 Branch Rd., Perkasie.” ● All records, meeting minutes, codes, ordinances, etc. that support the limits of Perkasie Borough as represented in the map pictured in “Addendum 3.” Said map reflects annexation of land from Hilltown Township to Perkasie Borough (area bounded by the old boundary line below South Main Street to the north, Walnut Street to the east, Route 113 to the south, and Diamond Street to the west). The boundaries for Perkasie Borough began to appear like this online in 2013. ● All records, meeting minutes, codes, ordinances, etc. pertaining to the borough's creation of the 1940 Perkasie Borough Zoning Map as is pictured in “Addendum 4.” Specific information is being requested to support the following: − The reference to “Clinton Street” on the adjacent “Sellersville Estates” tract. No recorded plans/documents for said subdivision include said street. “Elmhurst Avenue” is the name of the street in all recorded material. − The reason for the absence of property lines in the South Perkasie area bounded by present-day Constitution Avenue to the north, Walnut Street to the east, Hilltown Township to the south, and the Sellersville Borough line to the west. − The “Reconnaissance Map by the U.S. Geological Survey of the U.S. Dept. of Interior, Edition of Sep. 1894, - Reprinted in 1929” used by Perkasie Borough for the creation of this document specific to the placement of adjacent township lines. This document was requested from several agencies, none of which have it nor are aware of its existence. See “Addendum 5.” ● All Perkasie Borough Council meeting minutes, corresponding maps, and applicable codes/ordinances for Perkasie Borough land annexations from the following years: 1891, 1896, 1898, 1913, 1930, 1971, and 1972 through 2015. ● All borough codes, maps, ordinances, and meeting minutes relating to the physical relocation of any portion of Perkasie Borough from 1890 through present. Note: Numerous references are made in several local history books to buildings being lifted from their foundations and literally “rolled” to new locations, but--not surprisingly--never once has any explanation been given or additional detail been provided as to why. An example of this is on page 16 of the book 75th Anniversary of Perkasie, 1879 – 1954, describing the American House being relocated and “rolled through a field” to its new location approximately 800 feet west of where it was originally. Similar references have been made in other publications regarding the physical relocation of Perkasie Borough structures to new locations, inclusive of the H.D. Moyer property at Main and Walnut.
