  3. 3. eCat March 2017 The story so far… • Program Darwin • Needed to replace the existing product catalogue with an ISO19115-1 Standards compliant product • Our first attempt • Large scope • Bespoke solution • The simple approach • Smaller scope • GeoNetwork solution (open source) • Ability to continually enhance
  4. 4. So how did we go about it? • Open source • Based on ISO 19115 standard • Configurable (by us) • User friendly • Simple search interface • No special login (single sign on) • User acceptance testing eCat March 2017
