After usual classroom practice, the teacher introduces the
topic by asking the following questions.
1. Have you ever heard about Amazone, Flipcart,
Mintra etc…
2. Have you ever purchased goods through them?
3. Do you purchase things via internet?
Presentation
Even before the popularity of internet, we used to purchase
things by post. Have you ever heard about people
purchasing things by contacting the sellers through post for
the payment and collecting more details about the product?

Then the teacher shows a paper cutting of an advertisement
of a book detailing the quality of the product and the mode
of payment to own a book.

Mail order is a kind of retail business which receives
orders and delivers the article through post. Post office
always plays an important role here. There is no direct
contact between the buyers and the sellers.
Development
Do you think that mail order house is a suitable way to buy
all kinds of goods?
To identify the suitability of goods for mail order business
teacher initiates a group discussion. Divides the class into
different groups and asks them to discuss on that.
Teacher classifies the doubt if any and ensures the
participation of each and every student in the discussion.
After the discussion the teacher asks the groups to present
their points. Teacher refines it and writes it on the black
board.
Suitability of goods for Mail Order
1. Goods should be standardized
2. Goods should be light in weight.
3. Goods should be relatively valuable in proportion to
their weight.
4. Goods should not be perishable.
5. Goods should not be damaged in transit
6. Goods should not be locally available.
Closure
Teacher concludes the class by asking students selected at
random to summarize the main points.

BB Mail order is a kind of retail business which receives orders and delivers the article through post. Post office always plays an important role here. There is no direct contact between the buyers and the sellers. Development Do you think that mail order house is a suitable way to buy all kinds of goods? To identify the suitability of goods for mail order business teacher initiates a group discussion. Divides the class into different groups and asks them to discuss on that. Teacher classifies the doubt if any and ensures the participation of each and every student in the discussion. After the discussion the teacher asks the groups to present their points. Teacher refines it and writes it on the black board. Suitability of goods for Mail Order 1. Goods should be standardized 2. Goods should be light in weight. 3.
