Why does it matter? Countries vary a lot by size. In many
situations such as size of economy, or CO2 emissions, country
may not be the most appropriate unit. Running a State like UP is
as complex as running a large country. Making a positive change
in UP can make a bigger difference than a change in most
countries!

Why does it matter? To increase life expectancy at birth requires
a country to achieve many things - reduce child mortality,
improve incomes and better healthcare. It is easy to forget how
much progress the country has made even as much more needs
to be done!
