  3. 3. The third person form of thepresent simple• Add –s to the verb. I cook. He cooks.• Add –es (after –ch, -ss, -sh or –o). They watch . She watches.• take away –y, then add-ies (after verbs ending with –y after a consonant). I study. He studies.
  4. 4. The Present Continuous TenseWe use the present continuous to talk about:• Things that are happening now. My mother is making a delicous cake.• Annoying behaviour with always. He is always using my pencil.• Arrangements in the future. We are flying to Ankara in April.
  5. 5. The present participle –ing• Add –ing to the verb. I watch. She is watching.• When verbs end with –e, take away –e then add -ing. I leave. They are leaving.• When verbs have one vowel followed by –m, -g, -p or –t, double the final consonant, then add – ing. You stop. They are stopping.
