Configuration

Standard
Configuration
then click on

KOHA is an Integrated Library System (ILS) and was the first open source software developed in 1999 by Katipo Communications for the Horowhenua Library Trust in New Zeland. “Libline” an Ohio based company was established to support KOHA.   2. 2. Generally Linux & Windows. At present we are going to install the software in Windows XP environment. 1. Apache 2.0.50 (or latest version) 2. MySQL 5.0.37 (or latest version) 3. Perl 5.8.8.820 (or latest version) 4. Koha 2.2.9 (latest version as on 01.08.2008) Required Platform : Required Software :
  3. 3. Path should be changed at the time of installation  Apache 2.0.50 default path  MySQL 5.0.37 path is c:MySQL  Perl 5.8.8.820 path is c:usr  Koha 2.2.9 default path
  4. 4. Step One : Install Apache Follow the instruction and the screen short … Double click on the Apache Icon
  5. 5. Click on Next
  6. 6. Click on Accept And then Next
  7. 7. Fill the Server information as displayed on the screen short
  8. 8. Setup type is Typical (by default) Click on Next
  9. 9. Don’t modify any thing, allow default path click on next And then Click on Install
  10. 10. For windows security alert, Select Unblock. Now the installation process is over.
  11. 11. Step Two : Install MySQL Double click on the MySQL Icon as displayed on the screen

  13. 13. First select Custom and then Next
  14. 14. Change the path to c:MySQL then Click on Back and select Typical
  15. 15. Click on Next And then Click on Install
  16. 16. After Installation new window will be appeared like…
  17. 17. Select Skip then Next Click on Finish.
  18. 18. Now start MySQL Server Instance Configuration Select Standard Configuration then click on Next
  19. 19. New root password: ashok1973. Confirm: retype the same U have to remember the password then Next
  20. 20. “Most important aera in MySQL installation” click on Finish. Now the installation process is over. Click on Execute
  21. 21. Step Three : Install Perl Double click on ActivePerl Version l 5.8.8.820
  22. 22. Click on Next Select Accept then click on Next
  23. 23. Press on Browse to change the path to c:usr Click on Next
  24. 24. Click on Next Click on Finish Now the Installation process is over
  25. 25. Step Four : Install KOHA Double click on KOHA Version 2.2.9 W32-R1
  26. 26. Click on Next Press on I Agree and next, and Next…
  27. 27. By default Full then click on Next Click on Next
  28. 28. Don’t modify anything click on Next…
  29. 29. Select TEST CONNECTION Admin. User: root password: (ashok1973) Click on OK
  30. 30. Click on Finish and Ok to Restart. The installation procedure is over.
