Americans work hard to have and maintain safe and happy lives. So when a burglary happens, it feels like a violation of our security and sense of peace. In the United States, a burglary occurs every 13 seconds, which means over 2.5 million home intrusions are reported every year. We surveyed 1,000 Americans to see what people think about security in their living environments. These are our results.

  3. 3. So, we surveyed 1,000 Americans to get a sense of what people think about feeling secure in their living environments.
  4. 4. Our results will shock you— and make you double-check your locks.
