"Communication Wheelhouse" - a poster for AALL Annual Meeting

  1. 1. Communication Wheelhouse Social media, blogs, digital signage - there are any number of ways beyond email to communicate with students today. But what actually works, and what do they prefer? The Law Library at Indiana University Maurer School of Law decided to find out. This poster details the results of an anonymous survey sent to the student body in April 2014. Respondents (n=43) 1L 2L 3L Grad 410 1415 In what ways have you received announcements from the Law Library? In what ways do you prefer to receive announcements from the Law Library? Othersuggestions We were surprised to find how many students still vastly prefer email and paper announcements, rather than newer communication avenues. Does this mean that we should give up on channels like blogs and social media? Not necessarily. See the adjacent poster for a breakdown of our social media followers. Q4 Q1: Class Q2 Q3
